So It Lasts Collection · 18 numbered pieces.

For the life you share under one roof. One umbrella. Two people. Ordinary weather.

Made for one person. Not “someone.”

Quilled by artisan hands in Vietnam. Designed and edition-managed in Melbourne.

What arrives

  • The piece — hand-quilled, and numbered by hand.
  • Its envelope — made to carry it.
  • A wax seal — self-adhesive, to close it by hand.
  • A dust bag — to keep it, long after it’s been given.

How to give it

  1. Open the piece. Take a moment before you write.
  2. Write to them. Not to “someone.” One true sentence is enough.
  3. Slip it into its envelope.
  4. Press the wax seal over the flap. Now it’s theirs to open.
  5. Give it in person, if you can. Hand it over slowly.

Once it’s been read, the dust bag keeps it safe between readings.

Nobody writes love songs about Tuesday.

About the grocery run. The shared car with the seat you always have to re-adjust. The umbrella grabbed from beside the door — one umbrella, because somewhere along the way, one became enough for both of you.

But this is where most of a life together actually happens. Not in the grand gestures. In the rain, on an ordinary street, walking close because the umbrella demands it and neither of you minds.

This piece is for that life. Two people under one shelter, quilled by hand. The weather is nothing special. That's exactly the point.

Symbolism
Rain is just life, arriving on schedule. The umbrella is the decision to stand in it together.

Couples sharing a roof, a routine, a bathroom sink. Newlyweds. The just-moved-in. The married-so-long-the-umbrella-has-a-usual-side.
