What arrives
- The piece — hand-quilled, and numbered by hand.
- Its envelope — made to carry it.
- A wax seal — self-adhesive, to close it by hand.
- A dust bag — to keep it, long after it’s been given.
How to give it
- Open the piece. Take a moment before you write.
- Write to them. Not to “someone.” One true sentence is enough.
- Slip it into its envelope.
- Press the wax seal over the flap. Now it’s theirs to open.
- Give it in person, if you can. Hand it over slowly.
Once it’s been read, the dust bag keeps it safe between readings.
